Messaging 101 Training

Our messaging training supports people working in comms, campaigners doing media and anyone in the movement who is interested in how to develop powerful messaging. 

From our experience in the broadcast media and framing research, we have designed a training that will equip the movement with the foundational principles of framing and how to craft an effective message. This is not media training for spokespeople.

This 1.5 hour training will cover

  • The foundations of framing and how it interacts with messaging
  • The importance of thinking about audiences
  • How to write effective messages
  • Practical exercises

Who is this training for?

This training is for a whole range of people who are interested in messaging from people who have communications in their job title to organisers and campaigners who cover media work for their groups. We also invite people who don’t work to do any comms but are interested in how to better communicate to a wide audience.

How long is this training?

This training lasts 1.5 hours.

Fees

This programme is free for grassroots and community organisations, and we operate a sliding scale price for other organisations based on size and income.
